Since I'm needing to repaint my new metal tank to truly be Nutley/Sapphire blue and Ivory (as opposed to the deep blue and white it came graced with), I'll also be re-shooting my oil tank and battery cover to match, then clear coating it all.
I ordered the 1967 Starfire decal set off of ecrater, and received them today. There's a lot of them. I've searched the internet to see where they all go, and have not had much luck finding this information. I may not use them all, but it would be nice to know where they are all supposed to land on the bike. The side cover decals are self-explanatory, as is the one that goes on top of the gas tank, but the rest are a mystery. It sure would be nice to get this info prior to clear coating.
Any information you may be able to provide to this Brit Bike newby is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I normally like to restore bikes back to factory spec but, to be honest, I have never bothered with most of the decals that come in these somewhat comprehensive sets. Apart from the ones mentioned, the only other one I normally fit, where appropriate, is the oil tank oil level decal.
I assume the large 'Made in England' decal probably is intended to go on the front down tube but where the rest go is anyone's guess. I'm not even sure which of them where actually fitted by BSA to the bike when it was built.

I was wondering about that. I've searched B25 pics on the web for weeks and haven't seen most of these decals on them. Understanding that there are probably very few, completely original, 50+ year old bikes out there anymore, doesn't help the search. Most of our bikes have been tore down and wrenched on endlessly. Then there's also different decals for different markets. I read in one article that the bikes were shipped here to the U.S. and the dealers would affix the "winner 1966" sticker on top of the tank. It's anyone's guess to the accuracy of that statement.
Just last night I found the application menu for the set. It helps when an impatient guy finally scrolls down far enough...... ::)
