Title: Engine case numbers B25
Post by: Hardhatharry on 13 Jan, 2023, 18:38
I have two sets of engine cases to use on my build. One case has some damage near the hole for the crank output which can be repaired with a DD101 number, the other case is good but has the number ED111, both are B25S.

I though all the B25s had a engine number starting with 101 not 111, is the 111 number a correct number?

The cases numbers have the right font and don't look to be tampered.

The engine numbers didn't all start with 101 - I have 2 x B25s from 1971 and 1972 that had engine numbers 2XXX and 8XXX. I assume the serial number began again at 101 at the start of each model year.
