Hi, first I must apologise, in a previous post regarding machining I said I would come back with some info regarding cost ect, well as will become evident there was a reason for my no show.crank and cases plus cylinder retrieved from said machine shop a week or so back, machining looks good and price seemed good,£85.00 for cranck regrind, and cylinder reemered,(I think) and camshaft bushes fitted.problem started when I asked what sizes were what, it's written on 'the parts they sIad.well it had been done for some time and the writing had faded and they couldn't remember, have to say they did mess me about quite a bit. Not being an engineer I got a friend (tool maker) to measure the parts for me they are as follows.crank journal 1.665' main bearing end 1.486' cylinder bore 2.975' existing piston (+20) 2.960.It feels to me that the piston fits pretty well so I wonder if the bore was remembered and I can reuse the old pistons with new rings. The crank I think is +20 journals and +10 main bearing if anyone can confirm/ shine a light for me I would be grateful.by the way I hope to start assembling after Xmas and will probably be on here every other day then. Regards Dave.
