Title: Apple green paint match
Post by: Rupert on 08 Nov, 2022, 18:47
Hi, would anyone know a modern paint match for the light green/apple green used on the petrol tank of late 30's B and M series bikes?
Had one or two traces of it on the tank I'm restoring but not enough to do a match from it.
Thanks in anticipation.
Rupert.

I had similar issues when rebuilding my Sloper. It seems that a variety of paints were used and a variety of shades were used too, however, I found that most of the greens were based on military camouflage green known as Brunswick Green. This comes in light medium and dark. The earlier bikes used Brunswick Green Dark. I suspect if you sample the light or medium you should be somewhere near.
