Title: AIrfilter and hose C15
Post by: Barnsey on 28 Oct, 2022, 15:15
Dear All,

My C15 came without any sort of an airfilter fitted, and the rubber hose is hard and perished. Can anyone recommend replacements for both which will fit in the side box straight off without fettling?

   Regards,

  Ian

There's very little space in front of the battery for an air filter - the OEM filter fitted was pretty thin. Unless you are going to ride in dusty conditions, I wouldn't personally worry about fitting the air filter although having the rubber hose in place is a good idea so that air is at least drawn into the carb from insider the battery box.

Both my C15 and B40 have the original air filter in place. However, it wouldn't be that difficult to make up a similar filter and clip it back into the filter housing in front of the battery using something similar to the original OEM spring. Suitable filter gauze is still available:

The hose is available on ebay but I'm sure you could find an offcut of the same diameter elsewhere much cheaper.
