Many moons ago, when the world was young and I still had teeth and hair I also had an EX police A65 with a single seat, I'm thinkino of going down that road with current project. Anyone any idea where I'm likely to find one or even the base, or one to borrow as a pattern.

Did the police ever use A65s as they seem to use single seats on their bikes.

The serial number records list A65AP (Police) bikes at least for 1964 and 1965.

Depending on what style of single seat you are after, you could consider the one fitted to a BSA B50MX which is readily available. This is basically a shortened version of a standard seat.

I cut the centre section out of a A65 Dual seat pan and welded together to make a single seat.
