Title: TLS brakes (A10/A65) air scoop cover.
Post by: AD on 31 Aug, 2022, 14:10
I'd like to know what the difference is between the air scoop cover for the 8" TLS brake (37-1991) and the 7" version (37-3444). I have, what I believe is, an 8" brake but it has no air scoop cover. Since all the parts I've looked at on line appear to be identical I'd like to be certain that I'm buying the correct part before I poke the buy now button! Thanks, in anticipation. AD.

The obvious answer is that they are designed for two different sized TLS brake plates! The issue seems to be to determine if you really have an 8" TLS hub off, for example, an A65 or you have a 7" TLS hub off, for example, a B25. To determine which one you've got simply needs the diameter of the brake drum to be measured.
