Title: C15 gearbox capacity
Post by: Phil Kempton on 30 Aug, 2022, 23:27
Hello, I have a 1962 C15.  Why is the gearbox oil capacity 3/4 of a pint up to 1964 then 1/2 a pint after 1964 ?

I was filling my 1962 C15 up with new gearbox oil with the level plug out and the oil started to flow out at about 1/3 of a pint ?

Thanks for any advise.

Phil

The approximate capacity for a 1962 C15 is 1/2 pint according the the User Manual but you have to fill using the level plug provided. If you are only managing to get 1/3 pint in, this sounds a bit low and may need to be investigate a bit further?
