Hi gents
I'm looking for an early--1964---A65 rear brake plate 7"?? Whilst I'm still trying to find one, do anyone know of an interchangeable one. There are so many that look the same, so I'm asking just on the off chance.
Take care

Don't know if this helps, but my 1970 A65 was fitted with an early rear wheel, probably 1962/3, when I got it, but has the original brake plate. I know it's original because this particular plate was only made for a very short time in 1970 and has the lever arm above the plate. The shoes are, I think, from the early model because I bought a new pair and they were slightly too big!
Based on these observations, I'd suggest that you should be able, with a bit of elbow grease and creativity, to use virtually any A65 brake plate!

THanks for that. However the problem is now solved.
