Title: Looking for a good engineer in South West UK.
Post by: PigA10 on 29 Aug, 2022, 01:20
Hi.
Has anyone tried Exeter Engineering  at Higher Park, Pennymoor, Tiverton Devon EX16 8LL for restoration enineering work? I would like someone trustworthy and ideally not too far away from South Devon to regrind my crank and fit / line bore new mains.

Hi, I use them. Did an Ariel head, brilliant job. Also done some Bonneville stuff for me.They recommended a place to refurb a split crank (Japanese)and have done various smaller jobs.in the past. Very helpful, no job too small and would recommend them.

Hi PigA10.  Did you use Exeter Engineering, and if so, any good?  I've got a bunch of stuff needs doing (mains, big ends, etc.) and I too have been looking for a SW firm.
Cheers

there is only one person I use and he is in Bristol. Problem being, is he is snowed under and around 2 years behind. 40 years doing my machining and Im reluctant to go elsewhere...

Hamlins in Bridgewater are excellent; a proper 'old school' engineering workshop.
