Well I have been looking for a set of down pipes the Siamese Exhaust Pipes, I have a set on the bike but they don`t fit right, the shorter pipe has a to sharp of a bend where it go`s in the head so don`t matter what you do the exhaust fin clamp do not go up against the cylinder so it` sits at an angle so looks rubbish, its seems as all the ones from everywhere that sell them don`t get it right, the ones I have are From Armous and just don`t fit, I have even ground out loads of the metal out of finned clamp to try and get it round the corner to go up to the head one I took out to much even just snapped as we know how they are brittle at the best of times... and they are the Alloy ones......so has anyone got a set or know where I can get a set which don`t have this problem ?

I had the same problem but mananged to file enough of the finned clamp/ring to get it to sit reasonably. I used silicon adhesive to secure them.

Just need to find someone with a nice set............dont know why they all seem to make them that way and the don`t fit ha,
someone might have a set somewhere.
I have just bought a set of saimese pipes complete with silencer, I bought them because they were cheap ::) They don't come with the clamp on finned things, but what does it matter ? What use are they anyway ?

I got my pipes from Cake Street Classics and they are a perfect fit. the pipes have the correct welded on frame bracket. The rings cooling rings sit flush against the cylinder head ports, and the chrome plating has never discoloured. Prior to that I naively bought some Armours. The less said about that the better.
The issue I had with the Armour system was that the tail end kicks up a bit, putting the pillion foot rest close to the silence and the silencer obstructing removal of the rear wheel spindle.

I phoned Roger at cake street classics today and had a good chat with him, he has 3 sets and will Not part with them as he doing 3 RGS builds so he needs them..... and he is Not making any more as well........so I am back to the Drawing Board as they say,

Just a thought. Does he actually fabricate the pipes himself, or does he sub them out? If he does you could ask him who does them for him. Have you tried George Prew? His stuff is normally excellent quality.
he did say that he makes them himself....but NOT NO more :(
