Title: B25 primary oil
Post by: Oliver Pi on 02 Aug, 2022, 18:08
I've finished up work on my 1970 Starfire.  A final curiosity is the amount of primary case oil to use.  I have a workshop manual calling for 142 ml yet if you fill up to the level-check screw it turns out to be approximately 240 ml.  Based on oil weeping from the vented fill plug, I'm inclined to believe 142 ml is the proper amount of oil.
Can any of you folks offer comment or experiences with this question?

Onward, through the fog.

It's should be 1/4 pint or 142 cc. Not sure why the level screw gives the wrong amount which makes subsequent topping up slightly difficult!

Spaceman,
Thanks for confirming the oil quantity.

Now, if I can get used to shifting on right and braking on left!
