Title: gear lever quadrant
Post by: dbd32 on 25 Jul, 2022, 12:48
Hi Guys
Looking for a decent gear lever shift quadrant for my 1971 A65  Part number 71-4116
These are different to the earlier quadrants so I have been told
The splines for the gear lever have been butchered

presumably you dont want to pay a lot, otherwise, Draganfly do an exchange with your old part.
they have done a couple of spline replacements for me on BSA and Triumph and both been good jobs.

 :) :) :)

Replacement shafts are readily available and well within most local engineer's scope. I've done several and they are to my knowledge still in operation. However the DIY option is not a lot less expensive than Drags and a lot more mucking about. There's probably only a tenner in it.

Back in the fifties, following an involuntary dismount, I employed a pair of mole grips to facilitate changing gear - still on the bike and in use two years later when I sold the bike (C11G)!
