Title: A10 plunger slash cut pipes query
Post by: chaz on 27 Jun, 2022, 21:07
wondering if anyone can suggest replacement down pipes for an A10 plunger , these dont look like cut down ones as chrome plated on the ends and inside.
a few dents and scuffs spoil the look of mine.

Mine are standard Armours siamese. in my case to a normal silencer.
Very different in design, the join in the pipes is behind the frame down tube.
Quite difficult to fit, but they do go on eventually.
They do both stainless ad chrome.

Hi Chaz,

You will probably find that you have better ground clearance with the standard pipes.  They tuck in quite close and would be parallel to the ground.  The standard silencer sits partially under the back of the frame.  All this is because the plunger frame doe sit quite low anyway and anything else would scrape the road when cornering.

Dave
the bike is running with 17 inch ally wheels, Ive got an old SRM ally sump plate which scrapes the ramp when going up or down, so clearance is a problem.
the shorter left hand pipe is tight but the right does move a bit so need to work another clamp in.
in truth, the 15 or so years Ive had it , Ive probably only ridden once, so now it is insured again , might just have to give it a run.
