Title: B33 gearbox main shaft
Post by: Geoff Leake on 21 Jun, 2022, 19:33
Evening guys, I've ordered a new gearbox sprocket for my rigid B33 and in the process of removing the worn one, I've checked the main shaft for wear, as well as you can without dismantling the box. I'm pleased to say there's absolutely no play (up and down) in the main shaft but I have noticed a bit of end play in it. I'm no authority, far from it, to me it doesn't seem excessive. Would you say a certain amount of end float is acceptable? If it should be removed, what do I need to do to get rid of it? Cheers.
