Please have a look at these photos and give me opinions on my side stand. I'm not a seasoned motorcyclist (seasoned perhaps, but not regarding motorcycling :D) so I wonder if the lean angle of the bike is a bit excessive. You can see the
pivot doesn't sit exactly flush and square in its lugs. Any thoughts?
I had a look at mine yesterday which also has excessive lean. As far as I can see, the frame tube has slightly twisted over the years because it was not really strong enough for the job. Unfortunately, the only way of correcting this now would be to melt the braze on the frame lug to then be able to rotate it back to where it should be.
