Title: BSA Part number 68-8062
Post by: Talisker on 19 Apr, 2022, 16:08
Can any one give me the dimensions of this part ? I understand that the holes are as the tank but height and width of the upstand would be helpful. I refuse to pay £s for something I can make myself.

Hi,
    Rather than the dimensions.

Use a cutch spring cup (68-3287) with a section of black oil pipe in it and fit to the frame pin. Fit the tank and use the fitted cup and tank stud holes as a datum for the measurements. Worked for me.

Best wishes...

Thanks Bess, wish my brain would work sometimes, what a good idea.

Brill idea. I used a piece of 5/8" pie(I think) then did the same as you. Like you said works a treat
