Title: '71 A65 valve seat replacement
Post by: GlennA65 on 10 Mar, 2022, 21:37
Hi, My '71 A65 has badly pocketed valve seats. My Engineer says it is uneconomical to replace them as the machine most people use requires having a special jig made to fit the head.
My question is, are there any companies that could do this without special jigs etc? Has anyone had it done?

Thanks in advance

Glenn

I have had a couple of seats replaced by various companies no problem.
Give T&L in Bedford a ring. Should be no problem for them.

Excellent, thank you. I don't suppose you can remember any one else who you used successfully?

Many thanks for your reply,

Glenn

Had exhaust seats replaced last year on my A10 by Matts Machine Shop, Abercynon 01443 742791. Excellent work.

Also had seats done by SRM engineering, again excellent work.

Expect to wait a while for the work to be done.
