Title: TRANSFER APPLICATION DIRECTIONS
Post by: Wakeman on 05 Feb, 2022, 23:20
I have (3) A10's with painted gas tanks. I would like to add the appropriate water slide transfers. One tank is painted with acrylic urethane. Two of the tanks I bought from Ebay, (made in India). I'm not sure what kind of paint they used. Any suggestions as to how to protect the transfers once applied. Clear lacquer? By the way, I love the India made tanks. They look great and fit well

I tend to use 2k clearcoat over transfer/decals whether they be water slide or PVC because, especially on a fuel tank, I know they will be protected from a petrol spillage. Other people have used a varnish of some description but, ideally, it needs to be petrol resistant.
