Just for anyone who may be interested, Ark Racing seem to be developing electric start for the A65..

HOT OFF THE PRESS,
Steve McFarlane has been secretly working on an electric start for the A65 for about two years and is at the stage of having one ready to launch this year at the Stafford Show.
He says it will be quite a bit cheaper than those available for some Triumphs and will be discrete like the A10 starter that he makes.
How exciting is that?
Dave.
I saw on YouTube that Brian Alfonso had installed one to his B31 and I thought I might like to install one to mine until I checked the price out...ouch. I've seen one or two Gold Stars having them installed and wondered if this would effect there selling prices. Not so much an issue with a 3 to £4k B31 but a £16k GS.
Hi,
I think that if you are considering fitting an electric start it is to enable you to continue riding your BSA. It really comes down what you want most, an extended riding life or a potentially valuable bike sitting in a garage.
Phil Pearson, a Gold Star specialist, does one for the Goldie.
Steve McFarlane already does one for the A10/A7 so one for the A65/A50 completes the set.
Dave.
Yes I get all that Dave, but was wondering if it would knock anything off the price of a GS or in-fact enhance the price.
Hi,
I am not sure what a good Goldie goes for but there was one for sale with an electric start at £19,999.
Dave.
I have had an electric start on my B33 for 6 years now. My knee will not allow me to kick it over unless hot. My knee loves me for doing it. I have grafted an electric start on my 1949 M33, a lot of work though.
