Title: BSA C10/C11/C12 Big End oil feed
Post by: A65ROCKET on 27 Jan, 2022, 15:42
I'm assembling a C11G for a friend.
The oil feed from the oil pump goes to a grooved timing side bush
How does it then get to the big end?
I cannot see any oilways there ?

There is a hole in the journal that links to the oil way to the big end. Oil is pumped into the bush and then into the hole and then the big end. If the bush gets worn oil will leak out and starve the bid end bearing.

Argggh, just went out to the crankshaft, the hole has re-appeared in the crankshaft.
