Hello Folks,
I have seen the name of a reference/service manual in this forum yet cannot recall the name at this time (getting older?,, not me!). Nonetheless, my memory tells me it is a reference book for motorcycles that I've not seen in the USA. Anyway, this book looked like something that would be nice to have in the library. Goodies, bookies, something or other in that tenor. If you have a suggestion please let me know.
Farewell for now,
Oliver
The two books I have used for my BSA singles are the Haynes Manual and the Rupert Ratio books 1 & 2.
I've also found Roy Bacon's 'BSA Singles Restoration' and 'BSA Twins Restoration' very useful and very available.
The other good reference book I have for the later OIF models is: "OIF B25/50: The Incomplete Guide" by Brad Jones & Kevin Hawkins which is an excellent book but hard to get old of.
Rupert ratio! That's the ticket! Many thanks for all the feedback.

ask the man himself, he hides here occasionaly and will sign them for you
I did some searching online and was taken aback by some of the prices being asked for the Rupert Ratio books. Many hundreds of dollars!
On the Rupert Ratio website, Vol 1 & 2 UK delivered is £25 & £30 and appears to be £47 and £52 delivered to the USA. Worth every penny in my opinion :)
I bought vol 1 from ebay or an online charity book store, it was a well used but clean copy, pencilled at £40 but got it on offer for a tenner.
Those prices are more in my arena. I will look at the Rupert website too - didn't think of that option. I assumed the Rupert Ratio was an older reference; it is good to know the author is still up and kicking!
Thanks
Www.ratiopublishing.co.uk for the books.
Yep, he's still alive and kicking (and riding and spannering). Always happy to help desperate cases who need above and beyond what the books provide - knowledge is for sharing. If so best to contact me through the website as I'm not continually on here.
Best regards to all and thanks for the positive feedback and recommendations.
Happy to have been of some use.
Rupert.
My signed copy of volume 1 is on the way! Many thanks for everyone's direction and the opportunity to hear from Rupert his own self!
