Title: Peggy Iris Thomas
Post by: Chrisb40 on 14 Oct, 2021, 10:10
Since buying a Bantam and encountering several issues with it that I wasn't expecting, I came across 'A Ride in the Sun' by Peggy Iris Thomas whom I guess many of you have heard of. Now, when I encounter problems I just thank my lucky stars that I'm not breaking down in Mexico City in 1951 on a Bantam D1!!! What a brave young woman Peggy was and an inspiration for all Bantam owners :)

Seconded. An incredible trip by an amazing woman
But she did have the advantage of not having too much experience of living with Bantams, so not worrying about what can go wrong;).
If anyone hasn't read her book Gasoline Gypsy you really should.

 :) :) :) :)

I just found two copies of this book on the bay; a paperback that I bought about a tenner, and an original Hard Back £240, pass on that one.
