Title: Nuts and bolts
Post by: Morleydog on 12 Jul, 2021, 09:03
Where is everyone getting their BSC nuts and bolts from. I'm after the 3/8 * 2 3/4 left hand thread, from the foot peg of a C15. Draganfly have tried to supply twice but the two parts wouldn't fit together and they eventually just refunded me. Any other ideas?

ahh, two questions in one.
BSC are fairly easliy available, I get mine trade in bags of 25 , these are normally lengths I need or I get longer ones and cut down. Some I do have to re cut threads as needed.
but what you are asking for is a special one, probably not as widely available only from a BSA specialist.
I would look on ebay for a tap and die and cut my own, Ive just bought a 7/16 x 26 LH die for the B40 footrest bolt from there, the nuts are available , the stud is dear but bear in mind the work needed.
Ironically, the B40 LH footrest was held on by the bolt you want, but its not in very good condition

Hi,

If it is any use to you Middleton Stainless do a 3/8" 26tpi S/S LH nut.  If it is then you would at leat have a tidy nut on show.

Dave.

Old Chinese proverb.......Don't neglect your nuts just because they're hidden.
