Hi Chaz
That ties with the info I found on the net but I took them off my A10 FWH (7").
Are they a replacement for the A10?
They seem very narrow.

Hi,

They look like QD rear brake shoes as fitted to A10s, A65s etc..  On the A10 hub did they fit right across the drum surface?

Dave.

Some photos of genuine BSA shoes for the 7 inch full width iron hubwhich might help ID the shoes.

All linings 1 1/8 inch wide.

First photo left to right - fixed pivot shoe part 42 5876 - leading floating shoe part 68 5515 - trailing floating shoe part 68 5516

Second photo top shot same order.

Third photo bottom shot. You can see the removable steel pads on the pivot end of the floating shoes.

Thanks All
The shoes measure 1 1/8" but don't fill the full width of the drum.
They are riveted so I am assuming (and I know it's dangerous to assume!) that they are genuine. Also with what I've researched they do seem to be a BSA part (possibly B25?) but I don't have the level of knowledge that exists with some members of the club.
Maybe they are ok to use and I'll just get them relined.
