Hi.My first A65 was 1967ex Birmingham Constabulary.
I have just obtained a A65 something with a1967 Frame. So I intend to do a resto to about same spec. Not completely possible but I think quite near. That's bye the bye.
I have most of the parts for the rolling frame but not correct rear wheel. I have a QD hub ready to have a wheel built. 18 or 19 inch?? preference is to run it with 18x400 tyre. and as wondering about peripheral difference betwixt 18x400 and 19x350. I have a pair of wheels one of each just sitting there staring at me.
Both brand new tyres and both inflated to 30psi.
Surprisingly the 18" wheel etc is 82" and the 19" is 81.5---approx only .6% difference. 1 revolution in 163 ish. My main concern was the possible inaccuracy of the wheel driven speedo. no worries now on that.
In reality there is probably less difference than a new tyre against a part worn one.
There tis, yet another piece of useless information to catalogue and put to one side for discussion of a winter evening.
