Well all
need Pistons for the A10 question is Wassell / hepolite or IMD are quite well advertised and seem to get a good reputation and reviews, what are peoples thoughts please
Hi Paul,
SRM sell GPM pistons for A10s and occasionally there are some proper Hepolite on ebay.
Dave.
not had any trouble with the new Hepolites from Wassells , Ive fitted them in T100, T120, A50. I think the B40 has JP , seems ok but not run the motor yet.
the only comment I ever get from the engineer I use is to dump poor quality circlips and make sure decent ones are fitted that are stronger.
modern bikes I tend to use Mitaka where available, on low production bikes like the DR400 i recently did, its OEM factory pistons.
Hi Paul,
I purchased IMD pistons for an Ariel Sq4 and I can only say they are very well done and have a very good quality. All 4 pistons came at exactly the same weight to the gramme, which speaks for the finishing quality.
Cheers
Gui
Hi Paul
I also bought IMD pistons for my Square 4 and agree with previous comment - very good quality. Well impressed.
When sourcing pistons for my Lightning I was advised to stay well clear of 'yellow box' Hepolites (the boxes are new but made to look scruffy as if they are new old stock) but Hepolites that come in a white box are supposed to be OK - I hope they are as thats what I bought for the Lightning ! Not yet built the engine so dont know yet. I got them from Burton Bike Bits.
