I need want a new pair of rear shocks for the A50. catalogues say in the region of 320mm pin to pin but to maintain the look of the bike Im looking at 305 to 310 as its chopped and has an extended swing arm so longer would tend to kick seat up.
I can get what I want but generally being sold for bikes like the Suzuki GN125.
the GN125 weighs 242lbs wet wheras the A50 originally weighed 391lbs with a 4 gal tank. thats half as much again.
short of going to Hagons or White power etc and getting specials made does anyone have any ideas on options, Im looking at opennon shrouded either chrome or black springs, to match the open black ones on the front, the main factor being the weight.
Hi Chaz,
Depending on what quality you want. Paul Goff does a Girling replica in 11.9" to 13.4" at £75. I think most of the manufacturers do roughly the same range. Hagons are more expensive at about £125 from BBB for 11.4"

yes I can get HiLevel ones or Emgo through the trade , the problem is they are right length and fitting but not strong enough for a Brit bike.
Was looking at Hagon , Falcon or NJB. dont want to go expensive like YSS or Ohlins or White Power.
will look closer at Paul Goff or NJB both are copies of Girling open spring.
