Title: Fuel tanks
Post by: Mike Farmer on 21 May, 2021, 20:30
 :) :) :) :)

Hi All. I have a couple of Q's regarding late? (OIF??) model petrol tanks.

In the 1971/2/3 models were the Trumpet and Beesa tanks fundamentally the same in Shape and fitting??. Were they interchangeable?? were they essentially the same tank.

Is the fitting radically different from the mid 60's. I've only seen pictures-never looked underneath one. The centre fitting certainely looks the same.

Your help and advice please.

Friend of mine had a 1971 Lightning that he had put on a late Triumph tank. it fitted ok and looked good. So they must have a similar shape underneath.
