Title: Plunger frame M21 chain adjusters
Post by: Jezyorkshire on 17 May, 2021, 14:05
Just noticed the right side chain adjuster is missing from my plunger M21, can't seem to find a replacement, anyone know the size? Cheers, Jez

On the plunger frames, you should have a set screw and spring on each side to act against the spindle for chain adjustment. Some people leave off the spring and use a nut to lock the setscrew in place. AFAIK, the setscrew is 1/4" x 26 TPI x 2 5/8" long (BSA part no. 66-4603), so a 1/4" cycle thread nut could be employed also for locking up. FYI the spring BSA used is part no. 15-1312, which is listed by some suppliers as a brake rod spring. HTH
