Title: 1937 Rear wheel hub
Post by: Evan on 13 May, 2021, 10:47
Hello all,
I am slowly and surely rebuilding a 37 B21 and have hit a bit if a snag. It seems the bike has the incorrect rear wheel hub (possibly an M20) and as such the sprocket does not align with the gearbox sprocket.

Would anyone have a B21 rear wheel hub? The OEM based upon my parts book (see attached pics) is 65-6126.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, otherwise I may be up the proverbial creek without a paddle!

Cheers

Sorry, can't help with a rear hub as I'm in exactly the same position of needing one myself!
But if it's any use, I've been after one for long enough to look at alternatives with the brake and sprocket together on the near side. Best I've come up with so far is Bantam, D7 onward.
At a glance it looks like the one I've just acquired will go in with a bit of modification to spindle, spacing, brakeplate and sprocket.
Not original of course, but what's the alternative?

Hi Chaps,
That is interesting as I have a B24 and no wheels.Do you think the D7 onwards is good for front and back?
I have seen Indian ones for sale but don't know if they are any good.

Haven't looked at using a Bantam front hub, but at a glance it's the right sort of size and shape as a starting point.
