Title: a65 earth swap
Post by: Taffyboy on 29 Mar, 2021, 13:46
What are the pros and cons of converting to a negative earth system?  Is it worth it even? Is as easy with an alternator as a dynamo? Bike stripped to the bare bones, just wondering whether to do it. Thoughts please...?

Hi,
I found it easier to utilize modern products such as solid state flasher units and LED's etc.

Best wishes...

Fair enough, but doesn't really answer my basic question. Is it worth it..?

The shift to negative earth started in the car industry; one of the reasons for doing it was to reduce body corrosion which at the time was quite a problem. Not so relevant to bikes...
The lighting and ignition will perform equally well (or not) with either.
