Hi gents.
General Question: - What s a BSA G14 worth. running(in use) and almost complete. couple of niggly bits missing.
I know the answer is its worth what anyone is prepared to pay. But just wondering.

Without a photo and more details, year etc, of the bike and what is missing it is very difficult to say. I would not be held to any approximate value I might give.

Its OK I'm not about to buy it. Just curious so a best guess would be good. Lets say it in basically good condition and the only known missing part is a Smiths speedo drive, stolen several years ago. Probably irreplaceable????

Firstly if the bike was first registered after 31st March 1935 it legally must have a speedo & brake light. So if it is after this date it would be a real problem to get an original speedo drive. You would have to fit a electronic one as fitted to bicycles and available from Halfords etc. I have successfully fitted one to my 1932 G32/12 986cc Vee Twin BSA. If the bike is otherwise complete, tidy but not concourse and in good running order I expect it would fetch about £10,000 at auction.

Hi Again.
Thanks for that, as I said it was only interest. Another bike would, I think, cause a serious relationship development.
