Post by: MJM_58SR on 17 Mar, 2021, 14:24

Just looking for recommendations on weld repair for my a10 head, got a crack in the bottom fin in the middle, want the spot facing sorted on the head bolt holes too if possible.
Thanks

If it were mine,as it is non load bearing I would drill a small hole right at the end of the crack to stop it going further.

Hi idie
Thanks for the reply
I was thinking if I can't get it welded then that's what I was going to do, but it also needs drilling before welding anyway to stop the crack propagating after.

T&L engineer in Bedford . I use them for all of my cylinder head work. They recently repaired a T140 head for me that the customer had managed to snap off the rocker box locating lug. Beautiful job and Barry will only do what is needed.
