hi,

I would be interested in any comments re JBS shocks.  I have had Hagons on for as lot of miles and they are now a bit soft.  On paper they look quite good, are based on Girling ones and are cheaper than Hagons.

Hi,

I see that there are some genuine Girling shocks available.  Does anyone know if they are genuine and how they compare to Hagons, JBS and NJB variants?

Dave.

Hi,

Obviously not a stimulating topic.  Does anyone use NJB shocks?  Made by an ex Girling person but said to be improved but are they as good as Hagon shocks apart from being cheaper.

NJB Norman Blakemore http://www.njbshocks.co.uk/ has been making his shocks for years, As has Hagon. Both have been used on scrambles bikes for years and Hagon obviously have good pedigree. Ive used both on bikes for myself and customers.
It depends on your budget, if you dont mind spending £90 on a pair of NJB or £150 up for HAgon or would rather spend £40 on a cheap pair of non rebuildable ones. the dearer ones can be adjusted  to your own weight/s and feel so paying for the function.
