Title: Click from clutch
Post by: Wessex100 on 06 Feb, 2021, 15:22
Hi all
Recently acquired 1970 A65T.
It has the ball and cup type clutch actuator.
I haven't stripped to examine yet.
It clicks when clutch lever pulled in. Operated fine.
Any ideas?Thanks in advance.

Disconnect the cable at the lever end. Slacken off the adjusting nut at the clutch, screw the adjuster in to the push rod till it bites. Then undo it half a turn then lock it up. Then adjust the cable at the lever leaving it very slightly slack. Then try it. Is the cable very old and stretched inside where the cable attaches to the actuator, you may have it too long ?
