I was looking for a 80MPH speedo for my 1950 A7 which fits on the top yoke a while ago.
Help and advice was forthcoming but these speedos are hard to come by and if your lucky to find one expensive. Anyway I bought a repro one from sunny India for £18.99 delivered. Well what was there to lose? It arrived all the way from Delhi about 10 days later which was over the Xmas period so I was impressed. After making a new bracket one obstacle to overcome was the cable fitting at the speedo end, easily sorted I cut the original nut off and made a nut to suit the speedo (M18x 1.5mm) thread and using a split washer to clamp the ferrule, it came together well. Not been up and down the road on it but tried it with a drill and it seems to work ok.

Russell at Chronometrics in Nottingham does a good job and can restore an instrument to whatever code you wanted. he also sells them fully refurbished. like you say not cheap but worth every penny in my view.
