Title: Road Rocket Ignition Barrel
Post by: leecee on 17 Jan, 2021, 22:42
Evening all,

I took custody of a Road Rocket that was imported from Canada last month, but my aunt didn't send the key  ;D

Where is a good place to get a replacement barrel/key set from?

Pic for guidance

It is the steering lock.

The lock is a complete unit. If you remove it from the top yoke by taking out the grub screw and pushing or tappng the unit upwards it will come out.

If it is an original BSA item there is usually a 2 digit number stamped on the body which is the key number for a Union/Wilmot Breeden EJR series key. Replacement newly cut keys are commonly available on ebay but buy one for a motorcycle steering lock not the EJR car key series which are cut on a reverse blank.

Lock in photo has a new key.

Pattern replacement locks also available from many dealers.
