Title: crankcases
Post by: Taffyboy on 03 Jan, 2021, 16:14
Hi all
My '65 Lightning crankcases ( a65 dc ****} has the plate at the front to lock the crank to 36 degrees (?) with the locking peg for the timing.  Is this correct for a 65? Or mismatched cases..? (No big surprise if so...) ::)

Timing plug crankcase and crankshaft introduced on a parts bulletin G31 of March 1965. Pitmans book of BSA twin gives it being introduced at engine A65DC 3456.
