Title: B25 ('69) mainshaft, 1st & 3rd gear
Post by: vegplot on 27 Dec, 2020, 10:38
I have a new mainshaft and need to refit the interference fit 1st gear which retains the 3rd gear. However, I don't know what the gap should be between the two. Does anyone have this information?

Regards,

David

I think I've worked it out. The first gear should butt up again the should formed by the bearing surface of the 3rd gear. In other words the first gear is pressed onto the shaft until it can go no further.
