Title: Pillion footrests
Post by: Greenfield on 14 Dec, 2020, 15:15
According to Bacon the rigid and plunger B and M bikes up to 1954 had the same pillion footrests and were an optional extra. Can anyone advise whether the one in the photo is the correct design? I don't think they were fitted with rubbers.

Hi,
These came with my B31 but the parts book for 1949 to 53 illustrates them as tapered folded U channel.

Best wishes...

The actual peg looks very similar to the one on my B33 but the mount is a bit different.

Further research confirms that the pillion footrest should be the 'U' shaped tapered ones pt no: 29-7561 as in the photo (but not twisted), so if anyone has one or two lying around please drop me a pm.
Cheers
