just had the hubs powder coated and the new spokes and rims have arrived,
unfortunately didnt take the offset measurement.
its a 1965 B40 ex flat tracker running 18" rims but 7" full width B40 and C15 hubs.
can anyone tel me the offsets so as I can get themrebuilt before christmas. thanks
The full width hub B40 wheels are built centre of rim to centre of spoke flange, according to my notes.
thanks Julian, I would have thought there would be a chart somewhere on the internet after all this time. I had a look through my book of B series notes . wheels were taken apart before the offset could be checked.
When I did mine I seem to recall an offset of 3/16 inch. I got it from the Rupert Ratio "Everything but the engine" book. Unfortunately I gave the book to the guy that bought the B40 when I'd finished it so I can't check. Does anybody else on the forum have the Rupert Ratio book to check
Just checked RR Everything but the Engine.
The offset for 7" full width front hub is 3/16th "
Offset for C15 full width rear hub is 1/8 "
Hope this helps.
