Title: 1959 Shooting Star
Post by: GAMBOLE1 on 29 Nov, 2020, 12:52
Hi im looking for a diagram to help me strip down the top end of a 1959 Shooting star engine. Having never done anything like this before i thought a blown up diagram would help me through the various stages. or would i be better off looking for a Haynes workshop manual. Many thanks.

Hi,

I would suggest getting a parts book and a BSA workshop manual.  Haynes can be bit general and there always seems to be things not covered.
What you are looking for should be in the Members area of the BSAOC website.

Dave.

There are also lots of diagrams of the various sub assemblies on the Draganfly web site. Parts book is the best option though as you can have it sitting on the bench as you strip things down ( and see what's missing or been bodged) and you can easily flip between the pages.

If your a member of the BSAOC, you can access parts books for most models from the club library FOC as Dave mentioned previously.

My parts books have all the parts listed in several languages so I can be educated in different languages at the same time!
