Title: Hand Change Gear Lever Knob Removal
Post by: waco16 on 28 Nov, 2020, 20:14
About to embark on getting mine (1933 W6) stripped and chromed - any advice on removing/salvaging the knob?

The hand change gear knob on BSA hand change models is made of some sort of "Bakelite" and is held onto the lever by a pin that goes through it. Locate the pin and very carefully tap it out through the knob. I have done this several times.
