Title: Timing a 1933 m33-11 Sloper
Post by: DAF on 22 Nov, 2020, 01:39
Not sure how 2 set the timing on my Sloper. Has a anti-clockwise Lucas Mag, with a twist advance/ retard cable that enters on the right side of the Mag on the points side. Any info would be great, thx.

Set the piston on TDC on the compression stroke. Ignition fully retarded, i.e. cable slack. Points should be just opening - cigaret paper should just pull out.

Extract from 1933 handbook (in members area on website) .... pretty much as previous response, but uses feeler gauge instead of fag paper!!!
