Title: Tank Knee pads
Post by: DANFINN on 18 Nov, 2020, 11:56
I bought some of these for my C15 (1967). It came with one black one, rubber very floppy but fitted well  8)

I replaced this about 2 years ago with new grey ones, much harder and a grainy rubber which fitted badly and have now started breaking up.

I have ordered some new black ones, hoping they are much more malleable than the grey ones.

Has anyone got any tips about fitting these rubbers, or treating them before fitting. Any advice would be much appreciated :)

Thanks 8)

If you warm them up first ,they are easier to fit .best thing to do is put them in a sink of hot water

The quality varies I have found.
The ones I fitted to my b40 stick up at each end as if they were too small. A swine to fit as well.

Got them on :)

Luckily they stretched so are on. I think I may run some glue round the edges so that they lie nicely against the tank.

I'll not want to take them off again  8)

Thanks for your advice :)
