Title: Dating certificate
Post by: Joeblogs on 17 Nov, 2020, 23:22
I am looking at another project, it's another C15 but with no paperwork, the frame number is C15 .8XX and the engine number is C15-G-7XX (obviously the X's are the other numbers) Have a trawl on the net it looks like the frame date is 1959-60 and the engine date is 1967-68, assuming the numbers/dates are correct what are the chances of getting it registered for the road?

No problem but it will be dated on the frame number. DVLA not interested in engine numbers, in my experience, just the VIN or frame number

Yes agreed, it was the frame number that was used for the year on the last bike I got registered.

Hi,

It may be worth going through the BSAOC machine dating process.  Details should be on the website.
