Hi all, I've got a B25 Fleetstar and in common with many others it seems to have had its mudguards changed for the chromed Starfire units. I don't know if this was done before sale as a dealer bid to increase saleability or by a previous owner. However, although I like them, I also like the heavier, more old fashioned, solid guards shown in the illustrations of this bike and in Rupert Ratio's book. Well not many Fleetstars were produced, and even fewer for private use, so the chances of finding original guards are few. Does anyone know if these guards were shared with a bike made in greater volume? The Rupert Ratio book gives these as part numbers 82-8776 and 82-9988. For that matter does anyone know if any Fleetstars were made with these smaller guards like mine? I'm running a blog on this bike and pics are here:
