Post by: mashermick on 19 Oct, 2020, 14:38

after many months of work its actually running !
seen so many ways to time the ignition ,s !o much on the forum I thought I would try 15 degree BTDC as my action plate has 10 degree advance ,   wouldnt start ,loosen tappets to about 12 thou, held throttle open about one quarter and it fired ! go oil return . I think this the first start scince about  1974 ,hope it keeps running!time to put primary case on and try it !!

Great stuff. Another one saved! Great feeling when you crack it isn't it!
