Title: BSA B35-2 No Spark
Post by: JammyRedRoo on 17 Oct, 2020, 10:52
Hi All i am pretty new to the Pre War BSA, so help needed mine is a B35-2 with little to no spark, i have checked the plug, lead & points all seems fine. So removed the Pick Up from the Magneto and found well not what i expected, nothing in the Pick Up and just a wire protruding from the Magneto. I have attached a couple of pictures to give you a better idea of what i mean.

You have a Maglita combined generator rather than a magneto.

The wire you see is the HT coil outlet.

The HT spike may simply touch the brass section of the HT holder?
